জাইকা চীফ রিপ্রেজেন্টেটিভ এর বশেমুরকৃবি পরিদর্শন JICA Chief Representative Visits BSMRAU
জাপান ইন্টারন্যাশনাল কো-অপারেশন এজেন্সী (জাইকা)’র বাংলাদেশ অফিসের চীফ রিপ্রেজেন্টেটিভ মি. ইচিগুচি তমোহিদে, সিনিয়র রিপ্রেজেন্টেটিভ মিস মারী মিওরা, প্রোগ্রাম এডভাইজর মি. কুবুতা হিরোয়াকিসহ চার সদস্যের একটি প্রতিনিধি দল ১৬ আগস্ট ২০২৩ খ্রী: বুধবার দুপুর ২:৩০ ঘটিকায় বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পরিদর্শন করেন।
বশেমুরকৃবির মাননীয় ভাইস-চ্যান্সেলর প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ গিয়াসউদ্দীন মিয়া অতিথিবৃন্দকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে স্বাগত জানান এবং দ্বিপাক্ষিক স্বার্থ সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়ে এক মতবিনিময় সভায় মিলিত হন। সভায় স্বাগত বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ট্রেজারার প্রফেসর তোফায়েল আহমেদ। জাইকা-ইপসা-বশেমুরকৃবি সম্পর্কের অব্যাহত উন্নয়ন ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অগ্রযাত্রা সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত উপস্থাপন করেন পরিচালক (গবেষণা) প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ আবিয়ার রহমান। ভাইস-চ্যান্সেলর মহোদয়ের সভাপতিত্বে মতবিনিময় সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে জাইকার চীফ রিপ্রেজেন্টেটিভ মি. ইচিগুচি তমোহিদে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সার্বিক অগ্রগতিতে সন্তোষ প্রকাশ করেন এবং ভবিষ্যত দ্বি-পাক্ষিক সহযোগীতার সম্ভাব্য ক্ষেত্র সম্পর্কে আলোকপাত করেন। সভাপতির ভাষনে ভাইস-চ্যান্সেলর মহোদয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শীর্ষস্থান অর্জনে জাইকার অব্যাহত সহযোগীতা কৃতজ্ঞচিত্তে স্বরণ করেন এবং ভবিষ্যতে এ ধরনের সহযোগীতা আরও অব্যাহত থাকবে বলে আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেন। আলোচনা শেষে প্রতিনিধি দল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ল্যাবরেটরিসমূহ, লাইব্রেরী, ক্লাসরুমসহ অন্যান্য স্থাপনাসমূহ পরিদর্শন করেন। প্রতিনিধি দল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃক পরিচালিত শিক্ষা ও গবেষণা কার্যক্রমে সন্তোষ প্রকাশ করেন এবং ভবিষ্যতেও জাইকার সহযোগিতা অব্যহত রাখার আশ্বাস প্রদান করেন।
এসময়, জাইকার সিনিয়র প্রোগ্রাম অফিসার মোঃ মেহেদী হাসান, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ডীনবৃন্দ, সিনিয়র প্রফেসর, বিভাগীয় প্রধানগণ, পরিচালকবৃন্দ, প্রক্টর, প্রভোস্টবৃন্দসহ সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
A Four Member high official team of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), led by its Chief Representative of Bangladesh office Mr. ICHIGUCHI Tomohide along with Senior Representative Ms. MARI Miura and Program Advisor Mr. KUBOTA Hiroaki visited Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) on Wednesday, the 16 August 2023.
Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BSMRAU Prof. Dr. Md Giashuddin Mia welcomed the guests to the university and held a consultation meeting on the progress of BSMRAU and BSMRAU-JICA bilateral issues. Prof. Tofayel Ahamed, treasurer of the university gave a welcome speech in the meeting. After the introduction session, a detailed presentation of BSMRAU progress and achievement in the light of JICA-IPSA-BSMRAU relationship was given by Director (Research), Prof. Dr. Md. Abiar Rahman. As a chief guest Mr. Ichiguchi Tamuhide, JICA Chief Representative, expressed his satisfaction with the overall progress of BSMRAU and shed light on potential areas of future bilateral cooperation. In the President’s speech, the Vice-Chancellor expressed his gratitude for JICA’s continued cooperation in achieving the top position of the University and expressed hope that such cooperation would continue in the future. After the formal discussion, the delegation visited the laboratories, library, classrooms, institutes and other facilities of the university. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the educational and research programs conducted by the university and assured continued cooperation with JICA in future.
At this time, JICA Senior Program Officer Md. Mehdi Hasan, BSMRAU Faculty Deans, Senior Professors, Head of the Departments, Directors, Proctor, Provosts, Library Chief and related officials were present on the occasion.
