Welcome to the Department of Crop Botany

Message from the Head

The Department of Crop Botany is one of the university’s oldest departments. The main thrust areas of teaching and research in the department are Plant Physiology, Plant Ecology, Plant Stress Biology, Plant Oxidative Stress, Plant Anatomy, Ecophysiology, Plant Nutrition, Plant Growth Regulators, Embryology, and Systematic Botany. Presently, the department has been offering both undergraduate and graduate programs. The department has modern facilities for teaching-learning and research. At present, three Professors, one Associate Professors and two Assistant Professors  with three supporting staffs are working in the department.
