BIOGRAPHY
Md. Apon Dulal was born on 1st December 1995 in Gazipur district of Bangladesh. He passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in 2010 and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination in 2012 from Dhaka Board. He did his Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Master of Science in Fisheries Technology degree from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Bangladesh in 2017 and 2020 with distinction CGPA 3.99 and 4.00 (out of 4) respectively. He was awarded the ‘Prime Minister Gold Medal Award 2018’ for his noteworthy result (obtained CGPA 3.99 out of 4.0 and ranked 1st) at the undergraduate level. Md. Apon Dulal started his service on 14th March 2023 as a Lecturer in the Department of Fisheries Technology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Gazipur. He is a young devoted researcher in fisheries science. His major researches focus on the shelf-life enhancement of fish and shellfish, bioactive natural products, biochemical and microbiological aspects of fish processing; quality, microbiology, and food safety of fish and fishery products. He recently published an article in the Journal of Food Science and Nutrition titled “Antioxidant and antimicrobial potential of water lily extracts and their effects on the quality of frozen Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fillets.” He is also a member of Krishibid Institution of Bangladesh since 2018.
