As Professor the main responsibilities are:
- Delivering class lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Supervising the researchers conducted by the postgraduate students as well as researches arranged by the Department
- Planning and development, designing, data analysing and report writing of researches conducted in the Department
- Supervising and evaluation of the Postgraduate Theses and Dissertations
- Conducting the administrative duties and co-ordinating the research programs for the postgraduate students of the Department as well as assisting the administrative duties of the Authorities of the University as the Head of the Department.
- b) As a Scientific Officer and Senior Scientific Officer (Entomology) the main responsibilities are:
- Planning and designing entomological experiments for insect pest management in field and laboratory conditions.
- Collecting, compiling analyzing experimental data and writing reports.
- Writing leaflet, booklet and scientific papers to publish in different national and international journals.
- Guiding and supervising the work of fellow scientists, field and laboratory technician.
- Assisting head of the division to organize monthly Divisional Seminar, annual review meeting, workshop and report writing.
- Working as a trainer in training program for farmer, field worker, laboratory technician and fellow scientists.
- Conducting survey program for some certain insect pests in farmers field in different regions of Bangladesh and design research programs on the basis of the problems.
- Attending the Regional and District Technical Committee meeting as member of that committee to discuss different entomological problems and their solutions.
