Personal Information:

Farhana Arefeen Mila was born on 19 September in the district of Mymensingh, Bangladesh. She completed her graduation from Bangladesh Agricultural University under the faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology in 2007. Ms. Farhana further pursued her post-graduation in the Department of Agribusiness and Marketing under the same faculty at Bangladesh Agricultural University in 2009. She possesses excellent communication skills in both Bengali and English.

Ms. Farhana has actively conducted socio-economic surveys, engaged with farmers, and participated in various project activities. Her expertise also includes conducting Project Rural Appraisal and facilitating different Focus Group discussions. In March 2012, she assumed the role of a senior officer at Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, Savar Branch, Dhaka. However, in January 2013, she transitioned to the position of Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Business Management at Sylhet Agricultural University, Sylhet. Presently, she holds the esteemed position of an Associate Professor in the Department of Agribusiness at this university. 

Ms. Farhana is dedicated to her academic pursuits and is a life member of prestigious organizations such as the Bangladesh Association for the Advancement of Science (BAAS), Bangladesh Agricultural Economists Association (BAEA), Krishibid Institution of Bangladesh (KIB), among others.
