Message from The Head

The Department of Surgery & Radiology (SRA) was formally established on 25^th December 2010 by the Syndicate of BSMRAU which was approved by the University Grants Commission on 26^th October, 2011. The undergraduate academic as well as research activity of the department was started from 2013. The department was established to produce quality graduates in the field of surgery, diagnostic imaging and soundness of livestock, companion animals and wildlife by offering courses for DVM, MS and PhD programs. The goal of the department is to become a center of excellence in radiological diagnosis and surgical treatment of livestock, companion animals and wildlife. The current research activity of the department is mainly focused on surgical corrections of the congenital defects and deformities of farm animals.
