Mr. Saha is an assistant professor in the department of Agricultural Engineering at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU). He joined in this university as an assistant professor in 2016 and has been serving as faculty member after joining in this university. He joined as a lecturer at Sylhet agricultural university in 2013. He was assistant professor at Sylhet agricultural university before taking up the position of faculty member in here. He is also member of departmental Board of Studies(BOS) at BSMRAU.
His research focuses primarily on non-destructive method to evaluate the agri-product and food quality . He is interested in quality evaluation of agricultural product instead of traditional way for value adding purposes applying image processing technology and spectroscopy method .
He is currently involved in the grading of japanese sake (rice wine) rice using Ultraviolet (UV) to Near-infrared (NIR) transmission imaging. He propsed the chalkiness index based on opaque thickness of sake rice in this work.
