Hult Grand Finale Held at BSMRAU

The grand finale of the Hult Prize On-Campus Round 2025 was successfully held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) . This social entrepreneurship competition inspires young individuals to create innovative and sustainable business ideas that contribute to solve global challenges. The event took place on the evening of January 29, 2025 at the university’s Old Auditorium with Professor Dr. GKM Mustafizur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of the university gracing the occasion as the chief guest. The event also saw the presence of Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Moynul Haque and Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Safiul Islam Afrad as special guests. The program was chaired by Director (IQAC) Professor Dr. Nasrin Akter Ivy . In addition, advisory support was provided by Director (Student Welfare) Professor Dr. Mohammad Saiful Alam, Director (IQAC). Director (Outreach Program) Professor Dr. Farhana Yasmin and Aditional Director (IQAC) Professor Dr. Mohammad Sharif Raihan. The event was organized under the guidance of the IQAC and in collaboration with the IT Society with Campus Director Rudranil Mondal and his organizing team at the helm. This year’s Hult Prize saw participation from 31 teams in its fifth season. After the first round, 14 teams were shortlisted and in the final round 5 top teams presented their business ideas. After two rounds of evaluation, “Team Strova” emerged as the champion while “Archiflex” was named the runner-up. In his speech, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. GKM Mustafizur Rahman praised the participants’ initiatives and encouraged the further development of sustainable business ventures. He stated, “The innovative ideas of these students will play a crucial role in transforming the future world and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. The guests also commended the students’ creativity and entrepreneurial thinking. The winning team will represent the university at the international level serving as a significant inspiration for future young entrepreneurs. The Vice-Chancellor also emphasized that such events would continue at BSMRAU in the future, providing a platform for students to unlock their potential and bring forward new, innovative ideas. The Hult Prize is not merely a competition, it is a movement where young people dream of changing the world. Established in 2010, the Hult Prize is a global entrepreneurship competition that encourages young individuals to develop new and innovative business models to address the world’s most pressing social issues.
