Hasan M. Abdullah is serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of Agroforestry and Environment of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Bangladesh. He is facilitating the Agricultural GIS and Remote Sensing Laboratory which is established and co-funded by BSMRAU and CIMMYT. He received his Ph.D. (2012) from Gifu University, Japan with a Japanese government scholarship. His Ph.D. supervisor was Professor Yoshio Awaya. He obtained his MS from the same University in 2009. The research was supervised by Emeritus Professor Tsuyoshi Akiyama. Before continuing higher studies he completed his BSc Ag (Hons) from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh. His Ph.D. research theme was to investigate Net Primary Productivity (NPP) of mountainous agricultural land in Takayama city, central Japan using field sampling and high-resolution satellite imagery (QuickBird2 & WorldView2). However, his research interest is multidisciplinary encompassing: application of data science in climate compatible agriculture and resource management. Currently, he is collaborating several national and multinational research projects. Collaborative research with similar/ complementary interest is always welcome.
