Achievements/ Variety Released:
A country bean variety named as BU Sheem-7 has been released recently (March 2021) under his leadership. The characteristic features of the variety are:
- high yielding (2.5-3.5 kg/plant, yield potential 35.0 t/ha)
- high anthocyanine pigment content (29 microgram/g fresh bean)
- tolerant to Aphid and Jassid insect
- tolerant to salinity stress (12 ds/m)
- suitable for roof top gardening
- attractive red-purple colored pod
- harvest fruit after 130 DAP
