A portion of the food produced on the BSMRAU farm is cultivated using sustainable practices. The farm is committed to environmentally responsible land and natural resource management. This includes refraining from the use of synthetic herbicides, minimizing pesticide usage, safeguarding the diversity of plant and animal species, promoting the well-being of both farmed and wild species, and taking measures to conserve and avoid wasteful use of natural resources while mitigating contributions to climate change. Moreover, the university provides vegetarian meals in dedicated canteen zones.

The university diligently oversees the quality and pricing of food produced at crop farms, cattle farms and ponds. Fresh produces (fruits and vegetables, milk, meat, fish etc.) from the university are sold at 30% subsidized rate. The university canteens are also monitored for their food quality and price to ensure healthy and cost-effective options.
