Digital Bangladesh Day 2019

The ‘Digital Bangladesh Day’ will be celebrated in the country on Thursday.

The theme of this year’s day is: ‘Verify the accuracy before sharing on the Internet’.

The Posts and Telecommunications Division has taken different programmes on the occasion.

A colourful rally will be brought from the Jatiya Press Club at 2pm which will end at the GPO intersection after parading different streets.

A seminar will be held at the auditorium of the division where Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar will speak as the chief guest.

The important streets of the city have been decorated with festoons, banners and posters.

The day was observed as the National Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Day on December 12, 2017.

On November 26 last year, the Cabinet renamed the day as ‘Digital Bangladesh Day’.
