Celebrates International Mother Language Day 2018

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) observed the Shahid Dibash & International Mother Language Day with due respects and solemnity on the University campus. To mark the day an elaborated program also chalked out on 21 Feb’18. The programs were: Hoisting the national flag at half-mast, wearing black badges, rally, offering floral wreath at the University Shaheed Minar and Bangabandhu’s Mural, discussion program, special doa at the University central Mosque after Zahr prayer.

Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Md. Giashuddin Miah placed the floral wreath at the Shaheed Minar and Bangabandhu’s Mural. Students-provosts of the different halls, Gognotrantik Teachers Association, Gonotrantik Employees Association and university school also offered the floral wreaths. At that time Treasurer of the University Prof. Tofayel Ahamed, Deans, Directors, Provosts, Proctor, Registrar and faculty members were present.

A discussion program on Shahid Dibash & International Mother Language Day also held at the university auditorium. Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. Md. Giashuddin Miah was present as a chief guest and delivered his speech. The program also discuss among others: Treasurer Prof. Tofayel Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Md. Khurshed Alam Bhuiyan and Prof. Dr. A. R. M. Solaiman. Prof. Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin Director (Students Affairs) was presided over the discussion program. Students, faculty members, officers & employees were present at that time.
