BSMRAU celebrates Pahela Baishakh

Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the Bangla New Year 1423 was celebrated at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) campus on Thursday amid traditional festivity and welcome the new Bangla year 1423. To mark the day the University chalked out an elaborate a daylong program to welcome the Pahela Baishakh. A colorful rally bought out at the University campus. Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbubar Rahman led the rally as Chief Guest. The day welcomed with the tune of classic Bangla song ‘Esho Hey Baishakh Esho Esho” sung by the students. The other events were: cultural program, Baishakhai Mela: Banglar Khela, prize distribution etc.

Treasurer of the University Prof. Dr. Md. Ismail Hossain Mian, Directors, Proctor, Provosts including Registrar, Students, other faculty members, officers, and employees of the University and students-teachers of the University school, distinguished guests were present at the Pahela Baishakhi program. The program concluded following cultural program (3:00 pm to 5:00 pm) organize by student of the university.
