Historical Mujibnagor day observed

The historical Mujibnagor Day was observed at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) on17 April 2019. To recall the oath-taking of the country’s first government at Boidhyanathtala in Meherpur in 1971 during War of Liberation, a rally was brought out at 11:00 am the university campus with the participants of Teachers, students, officers and employees. The rally was led by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Giashuddin Miah. A floral wreath was also placed at the portrait of the Father of the Nation’s Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The program was followed by a discussion program. In his speech Vice-Chancellor recalled the memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and four national leaders with due respect and prayed for eternal peace of their departed souls.
