Biography

Shamima Islam was born on August 13, 1990 in Dhaka district of Bangladesh. She passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination in 2006 and 2008, respectively from Dhaka Board, securing GPA 5.00 in both examinations. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics (2013) and MS in Agricultural Economics (Production Economics) (2015) degrees from Bangladesh Agricultural University, securing CGPA 3.735 and 3.879, respectively. On October 27, 2016, she was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Gazipur. At present, she is serving as Assistant Professor in the respective department. By this time, Shamima published her research works in some renowned international journals.
