Mohammed Rokonuzzaman was born on 1st September 1977 Matlab south upazila under  Chandpur district in Bangladesh. He is the youngest children of late M. Shirajul Haque and Mrs. Rahima Khanm. He passed his boyhood in his hometown.  He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh.  He completed Master of International Development and Cooperation Studies at Graduate Studies in International Development (GSID) from Nagoya University, Japan in 2015 with the full assistance of ADB-JSP.  Mr. Rokonuzzaman has some research articles published in  reputed journals from both home and abroad. He got several awards, such as ADB-JSP, Dutch-Bangla Bank Fellowship, IRRI Fellowship and so on in his life to date. He attended and presented research papers at several scientific conferences at both home and abroad. His research interests are technology transfer and adoption, community development, social change, socio-economic study of the peasants as well as issues with rural development. His hobbies are traveling in new places, catching fish and cooking.
