Md. Rabiul Islam was born on 19th November 1990 in the village of Mohisbandi, Shadullapur in the district of Gaibandha, Bangladesh. He passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in 2006 from the Kurigram Govt. High School, Kurigram; and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination in 2008 from the Police line School and College, Rangpur. He obtained B.Sc. Fisheries (Hons.) in 2013 from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh; and MS in Aquaculture in 2015 from the same Institution.
Md. Rabiul Islam worked as an intern in WorldFish and conducted research on Traceability and Integrated Aquaculture in the Southwest region of Bangladesh. He started his service in 2015 as a Lecturer in the Aquaculture Department of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Fisheries College (At present Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University) Melandah, Jamalpur, Bangladesh. In 2016 he was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Aquaculture in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Salna, Gazipur. In 2008 he was awarded the “29th National Science and Information and Communication Technology Week Award”. Md. Rabiul Islam is a member of the Krishibid Institution of Bangladesh.
