1. BS Agriculture

Course Code: AGE180

Course Title: Farm Mechanics

2. BS Agricultural Economics

 Course Code: AGE261

 Course Title: Farm Mechanics

Course Summary :

The application of engineering skills in crop production has the proven potential to enhance crop productivity. These are primarily achieved by introducing improved farm machineries in order to accomplish different farming activities, which otherwise, are carried out by manual labor. Farm mechanization increases crop productivity by reducing human drudgery, and also by lowering the cost of production. It is therefore important, that the agricultural graduates are properly trained with regards to the tools and elements of the farm mechanization process. In order to achieve this goal, the Department of Agricultural Engineering offers this course so that the students may observe the practical implications of the farm mechanizations process.

Course Objectives:

To enable students to gather practical knowledge about various aspects of farm mechanization, materials,                      and  cost  estimation for civil works; post-harvest technology, and irrigation scheduling.
