Mahmuda Akter was born 0n 7th November, 1991 in the village of charmaslanda under the Gafargaon upazila of Myemnsingh district. She completed her secondary education from Chandana High School, Gazipur securing GPA 4.69 out of 5.00 in 2006 and Higher Secondary education from Altaf Golandaz degree College, Mymensigh securing GPA 4.60 out of 5.00 in 2008. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agriculture securing CGPA 3.96 (3rd position among 72 students) 2012 and Master of Science (MS) in Soil Science with CGPA 3.97 (1st position) out of 4.00 in 2015 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur-1706, Bangladesh.
Mahmuda Akter achieved Primary and Junior Scholarship in 2000 and 2003 respectively. She was Awarded in “Jatio Shikhha Soptah” in Upazila and District level in 2003. She was also awarded National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship under Ministry of Science of Technology, GoB, Bangladesh during 2014-15 for Masters (MS) research.
Mahmuda Started her professonal carrier in 2015 as scientific Officer in Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI), Gazipur-1701. In 2020 she was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Soil Science in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Gazipur-1706. She is a life member of Soil Science Society of Bangladesh, Krishibid Institution of Bangladesh and BSMRAU Alumni association.
