Personal Profile:

I have received very stringent training and education on basic veterinary medicine at Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, the only specialized veterinary university in Bangladesh. I have completed my Master of Science (MS) in Anatomy in Department of Anatomy and Histology, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh-2202, Bangladesh which is the largest university in ASIA regarding the land area. I have made excellent achievements on almost every basic program, which can be testified by the information in my academic record. Now, I am doing research and working as a faculty member in the Department of Anatomy & Histology, Bangabandhu sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur-1706, Bangladesh.

In addition to the academic activities, I have been very active also in veterinary research. It can be praiseworthy to mention that my research topic is on the “Anatomy of the oviduct of Japanese quail with haematological and biochemical parameters at pre-laying, laying and post-laying stages”. Most of the researches that I have already performed were related with basic histology of different organs of avian species like chicken, quail and pigeon. I also conducted some applied researches such as effect of formalin and smoking on vital organs of Swiss Albino mice. I have performed few applied researches which were related with cancer, diabetes, histological, physiological, haematological and biochemical parameters, molecular and cellular changes, herbal medicine as well as herbal contraceptives in mice and rats. To do these researches, I gathered enough knowledge and skilled on histochemical techniques, evaluation of histological slide, data interpretation and scientific article writing.

I have also experienced as a research assistant in a research project entitled “Synergistic anti-cancer effects of cordycepin and polysaccharides obtained from medicinal mushroom Cordyceps militaris”. Now, I worked as a research assistant in two another research projects entitled “Histological investigation on sperm host gland (SHGs) in the oviduct of pigeon (Columba livia)” and “Investigation of livestock diseases and development of appropriate control measures in hilly areas”. Participating those and other similar research activities significantly increased my sense of joy of doing research works and enabled me to discover my rich research potentials. Having extensive contacts with researchers and gaining broad understanding of the veterinary research, I have further reinforced my determination to engage in research in the field of biology for the rest of my life. I have come to believe that academic research will be the most appropriate career for my future.
