Research interest includes:

  • Agricultural remote sensing, crop phenology and vegetation modeling, crop yield modeling and crop area identification;
  • Effect of climate change on agriculture, vegetation, ecosystem:
  • Disaster monitoring and assessment using remote sensing, modeling and GIS, e.g., drought, flooding, urban heat island (UHI) etc.;
  • Food security and impact assessment, technology adoption and dissemination; and
  • Big Earth data, machine learning, and deep learning.
